USAID's focus on promoting democracy, human rights, and governance abroad helps foster stable and accountable governments, reducing the risk of conflict and promoting international partnerships. A commitment to these values secures American interests by creating a more stable global environment where democracy thrives, reducing the likelihood of crises that can impact U.S. security and economic investment.
